Supporting Your Independence,
One Day at a Time

At Right Choice Home Care, we understand that maintaining independence is about more than just managing tasks—it’s about preserving dignity, confidence, and quality of life. Our Preventive and Low Need Care services are designed for individuals who are largely independent but would benefit from a helping hand to continue living safely and comfortably in their own homes.

Who Benefits from Preventive Care?

This level of support is ideal for individuals who:

  1. Are generally independent but need occasional assistance
  2. Want to prevent social isolation and maintain community connections
  3. Require support with specific tasks to reduce risk of falls or accidents
  4. Are recovering from minor illness or surgery
  5. Would benefit from companionship and regular welfare checks

Our Preventive Care Services

Light Housekeeping

Maintaining a clean, safe home environment contributes significantly to wellbeing. We offer assistance with light domestic tasks including tidying, vacuuming, laundry, changing bed linen, and keeping living spaces organized and hazard-free.

Meal Preparation Support

Good nutrition is fundamental to health. We can help with meal planning, preparation of nutritious meals that meet dietary requirements, and ensuring adequate hydration throughout the day

Technology Assistance

We help you stay connected with loved ones through support with mobile phones, tablets, video calling, and other technology, reducing digital exclusion.

Companionship and Social Support

Loneliness can significantly impact physical and mental wellbeing. Our trained care assistants provide meaningful companionship through conversation, shared activities, and outings. Whether it’s enjoying a cup of tea together, playing cards, or accompanying you to community events, we help combat social isolation.

Medication Prompting and Management

In accordance with CQC (Care Quality Commission) guidance, we provide medication prompting services to help you take your prescribed medications safely and at the correct times. Our carers can assist with medication administration records (MAR charts), blister pack management, and ordering repeat prescriptions, ensuring compliance with the NICE guidelines for medicines management.

Shopping and Errands

We assist with weekly shopping trips, collecting prescriptions, posting mail, and other essential errands. Our carers can either accompany you to maintain your independence or complete these tasks on your behalf if mobility is challenging.

The Preventive Approach

Our preventive care philosophy focuses on early intervention to maintain wellbeing and independence for longer. Regular visits allow our carers to identify potential concerns early, whether that’s declining mobility, nutritional issues, or changes in mental wellbeing—enabling timely intervention before more complex needs develop.

All our care assistants receive comprehensive training in person-centered care, safeguarding, and recognizing changes in health status. We work collaboratively with you, your family, and healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to your care.

Flexible Support, Your Way

We recognise that everyone’s needs are unique. Our preventive care packages are completely flexible, ranging from one visit per week to daily check-ins, scheduled at times that suit your routine. Whether you need morning support to start your day positively, regular companionship several times weekly, or assistance with specific tasks, we tailor our service to you.

Your Preventive Care Journey.

Getting started is simple. We begin with a comprehensive needs assessment in the comfort of your home, conducted by one of our experienced care coordinators. We’ll discuss your current situation, your goals, and how we can best support you. There’s no obligation, and our assessment is completely free.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Right Choice Home Care different from other providers?

Two things set us apart: genuine cultural sensitivity and uncompromising quality. We have built our entire model around culturally appropriate care. We hire from the communities we serve. We provide extensive cultural competency training. We match clients with carers based on language, background, and understanding—not just who’s available. At the same time, we never compromise on clinical quality. Every carer meets rigorous standards for training, background checks, and ongoing supervision. You shouldn’t have to choose between feeling understood and receiving excellent healthcare. With us, you get both.

Yes, absolutely. Live-in care means a carer stays in your home round the clock, providing continuous support whilst you remain in the comfort of your own space. This works well for people who need frequent assistance throughout the day and night but want to avoid moving to a facility. Our live-in carers are experienced professionals who understand how to provide attentive care whilst also respecting your privacy and household routines. We carefully match personalities and cultural backgrounds to make sure the arrangement feels comfortable for everyone involved.

That’s not just possible, it’s a priority for us. We maintain a diverse team specifically so we can match clients with carers who speak their language fluently. When you call us, tell us which language you prefer and any other cultural considerations that matter to you. We’ll do our best to match you with someone who meets those needs. If your language is uncommon in our area, we’ll be honest about what we can provide and work with you to find the best solution.

Quality and safety are built into every layer of what we do. First, every carer undergoes thorough background screening before we hire them. Then comes comprehensive training in both clinical skills and cultural sensitivity. Once they’re working with clients, registered healthcare professionals supervise their work, review care plans regularly, and conduct quality checks. We maintain detailed documentation so we can track any changes in your condition and respond quickly. We also encourage direct feedback from families. If something concerns you, we want to know immediately so we can address it. Our reputation depends on delivering consistently excellent care, so we take quality control seriously.

We’re based in South East London, with our primary service areas in Bexleyheath, Bromley, and Greenwich. These are the communities we know best and where we’ve built the strongest relationships with local families, faith groups, and cultural organisations. That said, we also provide care across other London boroughs. If you’re elsewhere in London and wondering whether we can help, please give us a call. We’ll let you know straight away whether we can serve your area, and if we can’t, we’ll do our best to point you towards a provider who can.
